linaewen: (Caradhras Rescue by Kasiopea)
I haven't much to report today, except that I had a quiet weekend, with only one couple left as guests. We enjoyed watching the snow fall from inside where it was warm, and I personally regretted that we didn't get more snow! But that would have made life difficult for many, so I shall be content with what we have (while secretly hoping for more soon!). ;-)

My health is a bit odd; I am still quite tired since my visit to the dentist on Thursday. I keep wondering if I'm getting the infamous flu, and then I don't! I suppose I am just reacting to all the recent stress with guests and all that has been going around here. Guess I'll just keep taking naps and getting hubby and son to do my work for me. ;-)

I am going home early after spending only a few hours in the office, as more guests are coming in this afternoon and I need to get ready. It's not as busy as it was last week, but we will have someone staying in the house through the end of the month. Then, when they all go, it will be people in the house doing painting and rennovations. Ugh!

My goals for today? Make beds, do laundry, vacuuming and dusting, and then relax for what's left of the day!

**Edited: Providence at work! I was nabbed before I got out the door by some bigwigs who want me to sit in on their lunch meeting and help them with the wording for changing some bylaws. Where Providence comes in, is that the guests due to arrive around 1 pm are delayed because of the weather, so I can still get everything done in time -- except maybe the relaxing part. ;-)

**Edited a second time: See this icon? That's actually me, struggling through the deep snow -- with more snow falling -- carrying groceries on my back in a backpack at least as heavy as Pippin. No one else was free, and we were out of some necessary items, so.... I have to say, it helped me put one foot in front of the other to imagine that I was hiking behind Boromir with firewood on my back. The least he could have done was take a few of the heavier pieces! ;-)

I heartily approve of the "napping while husband and son do all the work" part. I consider napping an integral part of my day. And at least had you been following Boromir, you could have had a good look at his rear end....=)
