After setting up my journal with a new look, I find it easier for some reason to look back and see my New Year's resolutions; they are there in the Tower Archives, easily accessible if I want to remind myself at how well -- or poorly -- I am doing at keeping them.
I won't go through them all today, but I have been making progress with the walking and the weight loss. Something like 6 lbs. is gone! I measured the walk to work and back, and figure it is a third of a mile one way -- so just figuring that amount of walking over the course of the month, I can say I have definitely made it from the Great Gate of Minas Tirith to the northern wall of the Rammas Echor, in my goal to follow Boromir's path to Rivendell. I will report on what I saw along the way on another day -- when I don't have quite so many other things to deal with. ;-)
Today I have editing and writing to do for a number of RW projects at work, among other things. And I'd best get down to it, too, before the day is gone! :-D
But before I go, a silly little thing that struck my fancy when I saw it over at
boriel's place...
List five(ish) fictional people -- from television, movies, books, whatever -- that you had a crush on as a child (or early teens). Then post this on your LiveJournal so other people can know what a dork you've always been.
-Mr. Spock (for a time; BTW, is there anyone who wasn't fond of him, at least for awhile?)
-Aragorn (he didn't last long, as he was replaced by book Boromir)
-Boromir (not over him yet, I'm afraid)
-Adam Cartwright from Bonanza
-Hugh Beringar from Ellis Peters' Brother Cadfael mystery series (the books)
Dork, or no? :-D
