The call of the inkling

What with having my medical procedure on Monday, I am worrying a bit about whether I will be out of commission afterwards, enough that it will mess with some writing projects I have due on Wednesday for work. I need to focus on them this weekend, I guess, and work at home in order to be sure I have my copy ready by the due date.

But I currently have 3 inklings that are literally begging to be written, if I would just spend a bit of quiet time with them! That's what I try to do on the weekends, but as loud as the call of the inkling is in my ear, I truly must stay anchored in the RW for a time, until I am certain I am ahead with what needs doing.

Oh, to be ahead in my work! :-D

Those inklings, though... so tempting... maybe if I just look at my notes for a minute... Get thee behind me, Boromir! ;-)

I think I need a goal Friday. Soooooo, today's goals are:

- begin writing my monthly bulletin; I have all the news together for it, so I just have to sit down and concentrate on it and begin composing
- do an interview this afternoon and then write the 600 word article that will (hopefully) come out of that interview and another I did earlier in the week
- don't even THINK about looking at my inkling notes until this evening. ;-)

Guess I'll get started, then.

I probably should have scheduled it for another day, knowing I had this work due -- but I was pleased to get it out of the way so soon, so my work will just have to fit the remaining time. Thanks for the hugs and thoughts and prayers!
