Having a quiet day

Thought I'd better check in to let you all know I am fine, though still tired as I get over the effects of anaesthesia. I am taking it easy today. Spent the morning writing fun stuff, now I have to buckle down and write some less fun stuff, though still interesting -- not to mention due tomorrow!

I found out when I woke up from my nap yesterday that my mom went into the hospital with very bad flu. I spoke with her this morning, and though she sounded weak, she seemed better than when I spoke with her on Saturday, when she was ill. She may go home tomorrow, so that is good news.

We've got volunteers coming in to help with masking and painting on primer this evening. I hope they are helpful and not underfoot, hehe! I may plead illness and make myself scarce....

My mom is hoping to go home tomorrow; we shall see. She is at least getting good rest there, but she worries about what my dad is getting into while she is laid up. ;-)
