A little something different for Verse Thursday

I finally tore off my calendar page for last weekend, which had Boromir on it -- fittingly enough, since the 26th was the day of his departure. Since I'm still thinking about that, I thought I'd share this which I posted at the Fanclub for the occasion:

In other non-Boromir related news, my parents went to the doctor yesterday, and my dad is now a full-fledged diabetic, so as long as he gets up on time and eats properly and regularly, he should stay in good shape and no more of these low blood sugar scares. My mom is improving and is overjoyed that she can hold a pen without her hand shaking, and though her BP was very low, they are fixing her meds, so she be set soon.

I was most pleased and thankful to be able to spend some time with pippinswolf yesterday!

when they can get to the store, or someone can for them, buy those Glucose tablets at the Pharmacy counter. They come in a box of 6 or 9 or something and then see that some are where they can get them. Mom's purse, car glove box, kitchen cupboard, etc. @ of those will snap him out of a sugar low in less than a minute, and they should have some Sugar Pop, regular Coke, in the fridge also, that works in less than a minute too

My mom is diabetic and keeps a can of "real" 7up in the fridge, or orange juice. She'll keep him in line, hehe! Glucose tabs are a good idea, though, I'll tell them that.
