Haven't done one of these in awhile, and there is some news out there, so here you go, Bean fans!

THE DARK

This sounds like a good SB film, but I think I shall be too scared to go see it. I can't watch this kind of film unless I know how it ends. ;-) SB could be a good guy, but does he live? We shall see.

SB could be a good guy here, too; but I worry about him being a pilot... on a plane where something mysterious has happened...

I want to see this one! It sounds excellent -- though I expect our SB will not live to see the end, as it would seem he not the good guy. I watched a "behind the scenes" interview for this, which was interesting. Among other things, the actors comment a bit about cloning; I found it fascinating that the actor who plays the man who supports it in the film, struggles with the morality of it in real life (SB), while the clone in the film thinks in real life that it's an interesting and possibly useful thing(EM). Our Mr. Bean is keeping busy in the US of A, it would seem, but there doesn't seem to be any sign of him taking on a new Sharpe movie. :-( There is always hope...

Nothing I can watch with my sub-cable. Fortunately, I have all but The Big Empty on video or DVD. I highly recommend Equilibrium. Excellent movie!

I was watching "The Odyssey" on Sci Fi the other night, and though I like Armand Assante as an actor, I couldn't help thinking how much I would prefer to see Sean in that role - he was so good as the crafty, political schemer Odysseus in "Troy." Plus, Odysseus gets shipwrecked so much, he basically wears the equivalent of a towel the entire time...like that could be a bad thing? ***sighs and drools simultaneously***

Ah, thank you for this! I am quickly becoming a Bean fan as well...even though I've only seen him in LOTR and National Treasure. I still want to see a Sharpe movie(s); which one(s) is/are the best?

THE DARK
I quite agree with you here - sounds good, but terribly scary and I do not often do well with that sort of film! I too would want to know how it ends, I think. If I do see it, it will certainly be on DVD and not before bedtime. *shiver*

FLIGHT PLAN
This I am interested in seeing (though it does sound a little creepy), but as you say, Sean's position is worrisome...

THE ISLAND
Very cool! That's one I definitely want to see.
