linaewen: (Fighting to Get Ahead from Kasiopea)
Actually, in order to help myself get a handle on some of the things that were getting me down yesterday, I need to have measurable goals every day this week, not just on Monday. Sooooooooo, here we go, you get to participate by being forced to see my To Do list for the day, hehe!

Yesterday's project was FINISHED, yay! I didn't quite finish the expense accounts, though, so they move over to today's list.

For today:

- laundry (at least two loads and hang them outside to take advantage of the breeze) TWO LOADS DOWN AND GOING STRONG
- convince Lenscrafters to cough up the new glasses (by phoning to see if they are in and sighing heavily and audibly if they are not) GOT MINE, BUT MY SON'S AREN'T READY YET
- call doctor for a followup BP appointment and to talk about some other stuff if I still have a problem DONE
- clean bedroom (to the point that I can vacuum the carpet without impediment)
- bake cookies for the hubby (by his request, oatmeal raisin)
- make some phone calls DONE
- "me" time (by Boromir's request, working on a chapter of some sort)
- expense accounts (organized and written up to be submitted tomorrow)
- "Murphy" time (expect the unexpected and leave some time for it in my schedule) MURPHY TRIED TO UPEND ME, BUT I LIMITED HIS TIME AND HE WENT AWAY

Thanks to all who encouraged me yesterday, through LJ, email, with cards and icons, and with hugs -- either virtual or in person. ;-) 'Twas much appreciated. I must tell you the truth, I had to force myself to admit publically that I was glum, but I did it, and I benefited from your love. (((((((My Friends)))))))

I felt much better as the day progressed, and I am now back to my old cheerful self. I've had a health problem or two of late (stress-related, methinks), and while I hesitate to say I might be over it... I might be over it. ;-) Which would be nice.

My thoughts and prayers are will all of you, my friends, especially those who are in need of cheering today for whatever reason. Special thoughts go to my dear [livejournal.com profile] pippinswolf, who is back at work today and hopefully not inundated by all the work they were saving for her while she was out. ;-)

And now let's see how many of these goals I can knock off the list today...

You just reminded me of the laundry that's still in the dryer from yesterday... probably all wadded up in little wrinkly balls by now. Sigh. Isn't it nice to know your to-dos can help joggle other people's to-dos?

That's better than leaving it in the washer for days, so that it gets stinky. ;-)

Those are good, manageable goals. I like your idea of daily goals instead of "this week I have to...". That can get so overwhelming at times. Here's hoping you meet all of them! (This past week my goal has been the same each day - get through the day.)

Hope you accomplished your goal today. ;-)

((((((((((((((((Lin))))))))))))))))))))). I am glad you got yesterday's project finished and are feeling better. My best wishes for today's list.

Thanks, dear! I got some of it done, and that's enough to make me content. And there's still time left to do more if I don't fall asleep!

Hello

((((lin)))) so glad that you are feeling better today. My goals are getting through school and all the homework done every night. And living through it.

Keep at it, you'll make it through -- and you'll live to tell the tale.

don't let boromir talk you into his stuff before the cookies are baked - make sure that he knows that if cookies come first, he'll benefit from them too :D

Done -- cookies are made, and in the process (because of this comment) I got an idea for a Boromir conversation. Hope it works out, hehe!
