Busy, busy, dreadfully busy

You've no idea what I have to do!

But actually, I'm not so busy that I can't talk to my friends, even though I haven't much to offer today. Except a thumbnail of me with my new hair. It's not the greatest picture, because of being outside where my glasses will darken, but it's not the worst picture of me, either. :-) I'll keep trying for the perfect one.

I am still trying to figure out how to include photos in my journal entry, so in the meantime, you'll have to make do with thumbnails. One of my Boromir pix had to go to make room for me, but it's about time he stopped hogging the show.

I'm working on a project which has today as a deadline. I always say I work better under pressure, but I'm not sure that is actually true!! I wonder why I allow myself to wait until the last minute to finish some things?

Okay, back to work...

Ohh, the hair is lovely!! Thanks so much for the pic. *smile* I totally relate about the doing things at the last minute thing. When I have 3 weeks before a paper is due, I usually start writing it about 4-5 days before it's due. Bad habit, I know, but... :-)

images my way:
go to www.photobucket.com and set your self up for free there.
use the browse feature to locate pictures on your harddrive and click submit button to load them to the site. You will then see 3 options below the pictures.
URL
TAG
IMAGE
The URL one is great for linking backrounds to your LJ
The TAG is good for inserting pics in your posts
The IMG one i do not have a clue yet! lol
Once a picture is there just right click on one of the links, URL for backrounds or TAG for pictures and copy then go to your edit customization / backround screen to set up a background or paste the TAG one in your body of the message.
You can use lj-cut before and after to hide them as you know.
FAQ from LJ help tells a bit about this too.

Ooo, thanks for that help! I knew it was something like that; I've been hearing about this Photobucket, sounds like that's the way to go. As long as it's free, I'm happy. :-)

Which reminds me, I think I might need to find those directions you gave someone for how to get a cool background on their LJ. I like my color scheme, but a Boromir background would be pretty nifty.

It was a lot!! Maybe as much as a foot?

I've been meaning to do it for a long time, because I felt it wasn't really the right kind of hairdo for what I am doing here in the States. Change of residence, change of ministry, approaching the big 50 = wanting to do something different with my appearance. Also, Doug has been quite keen for me to do something different, so I decided to go for it! I like it!
