New glasses
Mar. 19th, 2005 01:13 pmIn about a week I'll be getting new glasses. They will look a bit different, but not so different that people who know me will be shocked; they will probably look at me quizzically and say, "Did you do something to your hair?" ;-)
I was shocked by how much they cost, even with a 50% sale on the lenses and going with the cheapest frames. I guess my prescription is a bit complicated -- though my son's is pretty straightforward and it cost a pretty penny as well. But it could have been worse. It HAS been awhile since we got new glasses, so I'm sure they, like everything else, cost more these days. And we got in on the last day of the 50% off sale, so that was nice.
I'm going with graduated lenses for my trifocals this time -- hope I can stand it. I've had the the old fashioned kind with the line for a long time. But we'll see; they say I can have them replaced if I can't adjust to them like that.
I am looking forward to being able to see properly again, hehe!
