Thursday Masala
Jun. 22nd, 2006 08:49 amMasala is a word in Urdu that means a mixture of spices, but it is also used when referring to any kind of mixture -- so in a sense, a loose translation of it could be "hodge podge." And that's what this journal entry will be, a hodge podge of things that I've been meaning to mention -- as well as an excuse to use this really scrumptious icon! :-D
BTW, the spices in the icon are all spices used in a mixture called "garm masala" which translates as "hot spice" -- an essential ingredient in most Pakistani and Indian curries. My mouth is watering just thinking about ti!
Anyway, on to the hodge podge....
Guess that's enough masala for one day!
