My BP is high, and I can tell. I feel just "off" enough that it is bothersome. I checked my own BP thingy against the one at Walmart and they agree = 148/95.

Now it could be worse, I know, but that's bad enough, especially when I am already taking medication for it. I'm sure it has much to do with what is going on in my life these days, and when that passes, I hope I will settle. If it is no better after the weekend, I'll go to the doctor.

Though the weekend will likely make it worse; it will be Grand Central Station at the guesthouse, starting tomorrow and going through the weekend.

To cope with the difficulty, I need to get more exercise, as that will reduce the stress as well as help with my BP in the long run; I'll try drinking more as well, and see if I can cut back on coffee. If anyone knows of anymore "tricks" that might help in the short term, let me know!

Does athelas tea have caffeine in it?

I was going to suggest watching salt. I know I need to. Salt spikes my blood pressure like nothing else. That's what's bad about most soft drinks (I'm a Cokeaholic myself), it's not just the caffeine, it's also the high sodium content.

And any exercise, especially walking, brings BP right down too, drastically.

I'm on two BP medications, and that just keeps my BP at the higher end of the normal limit, so I know what you are going through.
