I'm feeling very hungry this morning, thinking about all the turkey (or other delectables) my Canadian friends will be eating today. Happy Thanksgiving ((((Canada)))). I am cooking a turkey tomorrow in honor of you -- and because I have one that I don't want to save for another whole month. I strained a muscle lifting it from the freezer, so it should be a good one!

I had a good weekend, though I am feeling a bit droopy today. Mostly because my writing Muse finally got going and I couldn't get it to shut up until late -- or should I say early (in the morning)?

My dad is still in the hospital, not feeling very well, but doing okay. They are taking good care of him, which is comforting.

I think I need a snack to tide me over until lunch in an hour! In the meantime, here are my goals for the week:

- keep my Muse talking, so I can get some long overdue chapters and conversations written
- get caught up on my friends' writings and COMMENT on them for their encouragement
- clean my house (ugh!)
- start my monthly project at work early so it's not such a scramble at the due date. I get an extra week this month for some reason -- which I have probably already squandered, hehe!

Hello (((Lin)))! I was hoping you might show your face sometime today. ;) Smells of dinner are wafting up to me right at this moment, so I can certainly sympathize with your hunger, hehe. Thanksgiving is still a good month away, actually over a month away, but I am nevertheless looking forward to it!

Does your muse wake you up when you're about to fall asleep too?? I have terrible problems with that. I often get my best ideas just as I'm falling asleep, and of course I have to get up and write them down, else where would my stories be? But once I start writing, it often goes on... and on...

Usually I get my good ideas as I am about to fall asleep. This time, the Muse had been bugging me all day, and I just didn't get a chance to give it free reign until nighttime. The nice thing is, I've begun now, and the rest of it will come much more easily. I always find the first few paragraphs of a chapter the hardest -- no matter how detailed of an outline I have prepared for it!

I often have exactly the same problem, as I mentioned above! But I am not able to keep my inspiration in check for a day, not even an hour or so. If I get an idea, I simply must write it down, otherwise I know (from experience) that I will forget it. Often, note-taking in a class at school has been interrupted for a story idea!
